Editorial notes & corrections

Notes updated September 7, 2026 · These notes accompany the September 2025 version of the white paper and have not been incorporated into the PDF.

Framework attribution. The eight-step guide combines established change-management and Agile practices. Its “guiding coalition” terminology should be read with attribution to Kotter’s change methodology [1]. The guide is an editorial synthesis, not a claim to have invented an exclusive eight-step method. Third-party names identify sources and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

Corrected references. Reference 17 should date the McKinsey Roche interview to January 28, 2019, rather than 2025 [2]. References 10 and 12 refer to the same 2024 study by Desai and colleagues; NCBI is the repository, not the study’s author [3].

Evidence limits. The “20% workflow time reduction across 18 organizations” statement on page 20 has not been verified and should not be used as a benchmark or expected result. The Brigham and Women’s, Roche, and Metropolitan Hospital examples on pages 23–24 require claim-level source verification and should not be relied on as verified case studies or Seven Hundred Consulting client outcomes. Broad claims of Agile superiority and assured clinical or financial gains should be read as hypotheses, not established conclusions.

Verified research context. Desai et al. (2024) describe an Agile-based, multisite home hospital accelerator [3]. That specific implementation provides context for considering Agile methods; it does not establish universal benefits, validate the eight-step guide, or substantiate the disputed benchmark above.
